Anti-phishing key in Google Apps Webmail
In last week's podcast, I referred to a key appearing next to an email from ebay or Paypal as a way to show that it's truly from them since so many phishing attempts are made pretending to be from those sites. The link at the end of this post goes into greater detail about that feature.

Who has the best browser?
Answer: There is no clear answer as it comes down to personal preference and what works best for you. There are several more options available for your Internet browsing today. Some of the ones you might have heard of are:
I've used all four. I regularly use Internet Explorer (up to version 8) and Firefox (version 3.5 released last week). There are features and options in both that I like. Firefox has hundreds of add-ons and plugins for a customized browsing experience because it comes from more of an open-source community like Dustin talked about in last week's podcast. Internet Explorer has some add-ons as well. I won't say which one you should use. I will tell you to use the one that works best for you. If you want to try Firefox, try the portable version so that if you don't like it, you can easily get rid of it. Browser, Browser: Who has the best Browser?
New Ch3 Ad: Dr. Gail McPeak, O.D.

Reason 2495 for using webmail
Since the transition to Google for wamego.net email, I have stopped using an email client like Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird completely. One hurdle for me was the use of Labels in webmail instead of Folders to organize my email. Once I played around with Labels, I found that they were so much better than Folders and I could do a lot more with Labels. Google has continued to improve the functionality and uses for Labels. The latest addition is really cool. Like your favorite email client, you can now drag and drop your email messages to a certain Label and clean up your Inbox. Check out the link below to find out more about it. I'm already using it and it's a great feature. And no matter where I go, ALL of my email, old and new, is there for me to refer back to. So give it a try and if you already did and weren't sure, try it again with this new functionality.
