The Kansas Sampler Foundation announced their 24 finalists for the 8 Wonder of Kansas Customs and 2 of the finalists have Pottawatomie County connections.

The customs in Pottawatomie County are "Click your heels three times and say ""There's no place like home."" for the OZ Museum and the other is "Ordering a soda fountain treat" for Hoffman Pharmacy in Westmoreland.

So be sure to vote for those 2 and 6 others of your choosing. Hopefully there are some you've experienced and some that might surprise you and want to check out. You can vote up to 3 times from one email address.

There are quite a few translators available on the Internet and we've all seen the Rosetta Stone commercials for learning a new language. But I bet you've never seen the R2-D2 translator. Everyone's favorite astromech droid will translate your words from Basic (English) into Binary (droid-speak). The only problem is that you'd need something that is "fluent in over six million forms of communication" like a protocol droid to translate the Binary back into Basic. Anyway, enjoy the translator.
